Somalia, we found, was a war zone ostensibly run by the "Islamic Courts" but since we found it in a state of anarchy, they were not exercising many state functions. There was no university to be found, so we laboriously moved on and left Africa, four continents down, and two still to go before getting home to Antarctica.
