The end of Europe marks the beginning of the Islamic world, the Middle East. Here was Turkey, the strongest Islamic power of the last five hundred years. We encountered a language and culture barrier, but someone who spoke English appeared at the university in Istanbul. We saw Hagia Sophia as well, but no relations were established because of the tuition problem and our passports, which reflected a Greek stamp.
